Food delivery specialist foodpanda has this month launched an on-demand parcel delivery service for consumers.

Singapore is the first market to launch the service for consumers, following the prior launch of pandango for business in 2020.

foodpanda said that pandango is an easy solution for time-sensitive time items as it offers delivery fulfilment with 60 minutes, and it will be available ‘round-the-clock’.

pandago was initially launched in September 2020 as a B2B service targeted at SMEs with no onboarding fee or commission fees. foodpanda said that the expansion of the service to customers was part of its efforts to strengthen its logistics infrastructure, following a recent partnership with J&T Express to offer next-day deliveries for foodpanda shops.

Deliveries fees for the new service start at a base fee, with additional per kilometre distance-based fees.

Vijesh Yoganathan, Head of pandago at foodpanda, said: “Delivery is so central to people’s lives now – beyond ordering from our thousands of restaurant and merchant partners, we understand that there are instances where people want to deliver other things, including urgent items like medications or documents. With pandango, customers can now rely on our extensive fleet of riders at any time of day to deliver their parcels at attractive prices, in under 60 minutes.”
